The exhibition is a selection of photographs taken by Lia Pasqualino during the shooting of the film The Oddity. With twenty-two photographs, the artist captures the atmosphere of the shoot, the situations depicted in the film and the characters.

The Strange is a film about the process of creation and inspiration, balancing on the border between real and imagined events in the life of the great Argentine writer Luigi Pirandello. At the heart of the film is the relationship between Pirandello and Sicily, which reveals the writer-genius's own obsessions and his life in rural Sicily in the 1920s. The film includes some real stories with real characters. Pirandello returns to Sicily for an official celebration of Verga's eightieth birthday, when he learns of the death of his beloved nurse Maria Stella. The shaken writer decides to organise a fitting farewell in her memory, but bureaucratic red tape delays the date for the final tribute. While waiting for the formalities to be sorted out, the writer becomes acquainted with the two funeral assistants he has hired, Nofrio and Bastiano, who are also keen amateur actors. While attending a performance gone wrong by the two actors' troupe, Pirandello understands the curiosity and dramaturgical idea he has been searching for years, which was missing in the completion of the mysterious text he was working on. The film is the prequel to the six-character play In Search of an Author, staged at the Teatro Vallé in Rome.
