REDZED is a Czech rap and metal artist who uniquely blends rap with metal; his songs work just as well in the mosh pit as they do on playlists. He is one of the most-streamed Czech artists, and his momentum extends far beyond the country’s borders: He’s already brought the house down at the A38 Ship and Sziget Festival in Budapest, and on November 17, it’s the Akvárium Klub’s turn.
REDZED emerged in the mid-2010s, and his initial DIY approach continues to define his career to this day. He writes and produces all his songs himself, blending the sharp, gritty sound of modern rap with the power of ’90s and 2000s metal. He often records the guitar riffs himself and builds the beats entirely from scratch. Fans love this unique crossover sound—with over a million monthly listeners on Spotify alone, he’s one of the most-streamed Czech artists worldwide.
His discography includes viral hits like “Rave In The Grave,” “Meth Phonk,” “Straight Outta Flames,” and “Drugs=Magic.” His latest release is the album *Darkside Fanatic*, released in March. REDZED is unstoppable on stage as well. He tours regularly in Europe and the United Kingdom, and has also performed at festivals such as Sziget, Rock for People, Metronome Prague, Brutal Assault, Pohoda, and Hoodfest. REDZED is building its fan base from mosh pit to mosh pit, and on November 17, it will be the turn of Hungarian fans at the Akvárium Klub.
Akvárium
As they describe themselves, it is Budapest's most frequented venue, which is also multifunctional. Akvárium is great for award ceremonies, afternoon coffees and, most importantly, concerts, thanks to the well-picked, cross-genre selection.
