Gereben Zita

Zita Gereben and her band's eclectic show features songs with R'n'B, pop, blues and of course jazz. The prominent singer-songwriter of the Hungarian popular music scene founded her own band in 2009; so far they have released three successful albums with original compositions. Following their first jazz album (Ready for the sun), the second album, Our Places, with its more popular sound, further increased the band's fan base, while the third album, Az én fesztiválom (My Festival), surprised listeners with songs in Hungarian. Their fourth album is due in the autumn, and you can already hear a taste of it.

The versatile singer has worked with several Hungarian groups: she was a member of Emil.RuleZ!, Gringo Sztár, and has also performed with the Modern Art Orchestra, Transform Quintet, Random Trip and János Nagy Trio. He has also made forays into the world of cinema, with songs and small roles in films such as Happy Birthday, The Hungarian Wanderer and Almost a Virgin. The Gereben Zita Orchestra is made up of renowned and talented musicians from the Hungarian scene. The extremely close-knit group boldly reaches out to a wide variety of musical styles, creating a unique sound, and their lively, entertaining evenings also include a great deal of freedom to improvise.
